terms of use
plain-language terms for the kira app and jomkira.app. by using kira you agree to them.
1. who we are
kira is an INTRVL product by blnkformat ("we", "us"). contact: hello@jomkira.app. how we handle your data is in the privacy policy.
2. what kira is, and isn't
kira is a personal expense log. it reads what you type and guesses the amount, currency and category. those guesses can be wrong, and currency conversions use exchange rates that may be delayed or approximate.
kira is not financial, tax or accounting advice, and it isn't a record you should rely on for tax filings, audits or legal purposes. check anything important against your bank statements.
3. your data
what you log is yours. on the free version it lives only on your device, so you are responsible for backing it up (settings → backup & restore → export backup). if you lose or reset your phone without a backup, we can't get it back.
if you use cloud sync, you give us permission to store and process your data only to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy.
4. kira pro
kira pro adds cloud sync and smart match. it's a one-time purchase, not a subscription, sold as an in-app purchase through the App Store or Google Play. their terms cover payment, refunds and restoring purchases, and refunds are requested from Apple or Google, not from us. if you got kira from the App Store, Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement also applies.
"lifetime" means for as long as we run kira pro. if we ever stop, we'll tell you in advance. pro belongs to the kira account you were signed in with when you bought it, and restoring the purchase on another kira account moves it there. if a purchase is refunded or reversed, pro is removed from the account.
smart match relies on an outside AI service and has fair-use limits to keep it running for everyone. we may change, limit or improve pro features over time, but we won't take away the core of what you paid for without telling you.
5. your account
an account is only needed for kira pro. keep your Google or Apple sign-in secure. you can delete your account and synced data at any time in settings → erase or delete account → delete account.
6. fair use
please don't:
- try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer our servers or the website demo.
- use automated tools to send large numbers of requests, or create accounts to get around limits.
- use kira for anything illegal.
we may suspend access for anyone who does.
7. availability
we work to keep kira running, but it's provided "as is". the online parts (sync, smart match, exchange rates) may sometimes be unavailable. logging always works offline.
8. liability
to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, lost data, or decisions you make based on what kira shows you. if we are liable for something, our total liability is limited to what you paid us for kira pro in the 12 months before. nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
9. changes
we may update these terms. we'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app. if you keep using kira after that, the new terms apply.
10. law
these terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
